Patrick G André

Patrick received his degree in Physics from Seattle University in 1982, followed by postgraduate work in Electrical Engineering and Physics.

Having worked on Electromagnetic Compatibility (EMC) for 43 years, he is now an iNARTE Certified Engineer in EMC and ESD, a Certified Master Design Engineer, and a Life Senior Member of the IEEE’s EMC Society.

Patrick has worked in the military and aerospace environment for his entire career, and with commercial electronics for over 30 years. Projects worked on range from semiconductors, satellite equipment, industrial and test equipment, and cellular installations, to writing EMC test procedures and reports.

He has a strong ability in the test, measurement, and troubleshooting of EMC, is president of André Consulting, Inc., and the co-author of the EMI Troubleshooting Cookbook for Product Designers, ISBN-13: 978-1613530191.

Patrick has successfully worked with, and given input to, all branches of the US Military; NASA; NNSA (US National Nuclear Security Administration); FAA (US Federal Aviation Administration), and RTCA (Radio Technical Committee for Aeronautics) where he currently serves on the DO-160 Update committee.
